Project Overview

LinkHMS approached ProtonBits with a vision—to create an all-in-one, modern Hospital Management System (HMS) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) platform that simplifies the day-to-day operations of healthcare providers. From individual clinics to large-scale hospitals, they wanted to digitize workflows, reduce manual errors, and improve the patient experience.

Our challenge was clear: build a scalable, intuitive, and secure SaaS platform that could manage everything from appointments to medical records, billing, reporting, and doctor-patient communication—all in real time.

Our Approach

At ProtonBits, we started by diving deep into the healthcare ecosystem, studying how clinics and hospitals function at different scales. We followed a user-centric design process, combining clean UI with practical UX strategies to ensure that even the most non-technical staff could use the system effortlessly.

We worked closely with stakeholders, medical consultants, and the LinkHMS product team to understand compliance requirements (like ICD-11 coding, data privacy laws, etc.) and embedded those into the foundation of the platform.

Advanced EMR System

Secure and structured medical records, designed for clarity and compliance. The EMR system includes patient histories, diagnostic reports, and treatment plans that are easy to access, update, and manage.

Doctor Dashboard & Appointments

We built an intuitive dashboard for doctors, where they can view upcoming appointments, patient records, test results, and prescribe treatments—all from one screen. Doctors can manage their own availability and schedules through a calendar-based UI with live updates.

Live Queue Management System

To reduce wait times and enhance patient satisfaction, we implemented a live queue system where patients are notified of their position in line in real-time, improving transparency and reducing congestion in waiting areas.

 Billing & Invoicing Automation

Smart invoicing tools that auto-generate bills based on consultations, lab tests, and prescribed medicines. Integrated payment options allow clinics to collect and track payments instantly.

Reports & Analytics

Admins and doctors can view insightful reports—daily visit summaries, revenue, patient demographics, and operational efficiency metrics—all in one place.

Multi-Clinic Support

We made LinkHMS scalable for enterprise use. Admins can manage multiple clinics or departments under a single account with centralized reporting and access control.

UI/UX Highlights

Our design team focused on a clean, professional interface with a soft color palette that promotes trust and ease of use. The platform adapts to all screen sizes, with a mobile-responsive layout ideal for on-the-go practitioners. Every interaction, from navigation to data entry, was refined to reduce cognitive load and maximize efficiency.

Security & Compliance

Given the sensitivity of medical data, security was a top priority. We implemented:
